Pending versus posted: your bank’s view of a Temu charge

Payments · Published November 6, 2026 · 1 min read · By SupportiveDigi

Your bank app and your order page can seem to disagree. They are usually describing different stages.

The words

  • Pending. A hold. The money is reserved but not yet taken.
  • Posted. The charge is final.
  • Reversed. A hold or charge has been removed.

Why you might see two

A hold and the final charge can both appear briefly. Orders that ship in parts can also generate more than one charge.

When to act

  • Wait a few business days for holds to drop.
  • If a posted charge matches no order, call your bank using the number on your card.
