Long messages bury the point. Four sentences are usually enough.
The structure
- What you ordered and when. Include the order number.
- What went wrong. Facts only.
- What you want. A refund, a replacement or an update.
- What you attached. Photos or screenshots.
Example
I ordered [item], order [number], on [date]. It arrived [broken / not as pictured]. I would like a [refund / replacement]. I have attached photos of the item and its packaging.
Avoid
- Sending the same message repeatedly.
- Adding emotion in place of detail.
- Deleting evidence before the case ends.
